What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

To protect our patients and ourselves, our staff wears masks, gloves, and glasses. All instruments are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized as recommended by the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control. Whenever possible, disposable single-use items are used to ensure your safety. Handpieces are sterilized with a state-of-the-art sterilization unit specifically designed for this purpose. All surfaces in the treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected after each patient.

My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?

Bleeding gums are usually a sign of periodontal disease. This does not always mean surgery. We can do a periodontal exam, determine if you have periodontal disease, and evaluate its severity. With our non-surgical periodontal laser therapy program and your home care cooperation, we can usually get you back on the road to a healthy mouth without surgery.

I really don't like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?

If you feel anxious about a visit to the dentist, we understand and share your concerns and strive to make every dental visit comfortable. On your first visit to our office, we want to take the opportunity to get acquainted with you. We will discuss any concerns you may have regarding your dental health and together we will decide on the best course of treatment. We help our patients relax by providing chairside headphones for listening to music, and patients find our huge, beautiful aquarium very soothing. For those who need it, we offer nitrous gas and oral sedation.

I want my front teeth to look better, but I don't want to wear braces. What would you recommend?

We want you to come in for a consultation. We can determine whether you are a candidate for veneers or discuss other options. Not everyone needs braces to change his or her smile. Many models and actors have veneers.

My spouse snores and keeps me up at night. I've heard that a dentist might be able to prescribe an appliance that prevents snoring. Can you help?

After an exam, Dr. Jung, Dr. Sparks or Dr. Garcia can determine whether your spouse is a candidate for a Silent Night Snore Guard.
